Founded in 2022, Puffy Cotton Candy takes cotton candy-making to thrilling new heights as our artists spin custom creations by hand, in eye-popping sizes, shapes, and colors — in a dozen mouthwatering flavors.

In addition to spinning delicious cotton candy clouds and cakes, we are world-famous for crafting our mesmerizing cotton candy characters. Standing nearly two feet tall, our artists transform a mountain of fresh cotton candy into magical character art, like a rainbow unicorn, and now officially licensed characters like Hello Kitty® and Friends, Snoopy, and Sonic the Hedgehog.

With 16 confirmed locations (7 active, 9 to come), our first Puffy franchise location opened in Freehold, NJ in early-2025, our second and third franchise locations opened in Orlando, FL and Las Vegas, NV in mid-2025, and our fourth and fifth franchise locations opened in Grapevine, TX and Las Vegas, NV in early-2026. We have 9 more franchise locations signed to open across the U.S. starting in early-2027.

In-Line Store Option

For the full Puffy customer experience, we recommend an in-line store between 800 - 1,400 square feet. This offers ideal space for customers, displays, daily work, and storage.
Kiosk Option

We also offer a more economical kiosk option in various sizes, including 10’x15’ as shown. A kiosk typically helps lower construction and lease costs (versus an in-line storefront).
Event Catering Included

With the purchase of a Puffy Cotton Candy franchise, we also allow franchisees to host private catering for parties and events — to supplement their in-line store or kiosk.

Initial Franchise Fee: $40,000

Ongoing Royalty Fee: 6% of Gross Revenue

*Inclusive of above franchise fee and all start-up expenses, such as: leasehold improvements (store or kiosk design and build-out), initial real estate lease payments, operational funding, furnishings, equipment, inventory, etc.

The $40,000 initial franchise fee includes two full weeks of training on site, to help assist you in starting your new Puffy Cotton Candy store or kiosk and to learn the art of making cotton candy clouds, characters, cakes, and crystals. It also provides you with our comprehensive system and operations manual to guide you in standing up and running the store or kiosk — along with many other vital components such as rights to use the Puffy brand, full access and promotion of our puffycottoncandy.com website, social media channels, and much more. The initial franchise fee does not include any raw materials, supplies, equipment, leasehold improvements, etc. from the franchisor — the franchisee is fully responsible for all start-up and ongoing operating expenses.
The ongoing royalty fee of 6% of the franchisee’s monthly gross revenue would be paid to the franchisor for the franchisor’s ongoing support of the franchisee and continued use of the Puffy brand identity. The ongoing royalty fee does not include any raw materials, supplies, equipment, leasehold improvements, etc. from the franchisor — the franchisee is fully responsible for all start-up and ongoing operating expenses.
It is important that our potential franchisees meet several key criteria, including: exhibiting successful experience running a past or current business, preferably having prior or current franchise ownership experience, being a fully dedicated (hands-on) daily operator, being a passionate, energetic, and a creative-driven individual, and verifying a minimum liquidity of $150,000.
Yes — franchisees may operate multiple Puffy franchises under our Area Development Agreement. This affords the franchisee a discounted initial franchise fee for incremental Puffy franchise locations and provides a greater degree of territory rights.
Yes — the entire process and cost of new store construction is the franchisee’s full responsibility. This includes minor and major renovations, or building from the ground up. However, Puffy will be involved throughout to review and evaluate each step of the way.
Yes — we offer an optional retail commercial real estate partner who will assist you in finding a strategic location for your Puffy franchise. Our partner will also help you analyze foot traffic and customer demographics of potential locations, and assist in negotiating your lease fees and contract directly with the lease holder. You are not obligated to use our partner, it’s just an option — you are welcome to find a location on your own if preferred.
10 years — the term length of the franchise agreement and conditions therein span 10 full years, with an option to renew at term end.
We will provide you with the essential training required to learn the art of cotton candy character-making. While it took us a full year to master on our own (through tons of trial and error), we can teach you the essentials in just two weeks. It does require significant practice thereafter, but once you get the hang of it, it’s so much fun!
